What is Synthetic Rattan?
Synthetic Rattan is an outdoor weave that is manufactured from the highest quality man-made fiber and is smooth to the touch yet remarkably durable. The poly-ethylene based extruded and through-dyed wicker is tear resistance, UV resistance and insensitive to difference in temperature there for weatherproof. Woven furni-ture can be left outside all year round and is able to withstand temperatures from -30 degrees Celsius to +40 degrees Celsius. When cold the weave will become stiffer than normal and when very hot it will become more elastic, however it will always revert to its normal elasticity once the ambient temperature stabilizes.
Care and Maintenance
For cleaning woven furniture it is important to use a non-foaming cleaner, as a foaming product will leave a residue behind. Make sure to always rinse thoroughly to reduce the risk of leaving behind any residue that can attract dirt. A pressure washer on a LOW setting can be used without any cleaner to remove dust buildup and dirt as well.
