Turn Your Guestroom Into a Resort-Style Retreat

October 02, 2012

Do you have an extra bedroom that you’re not sure what to do with? We can help you turn this room into a retreat that will make your guests never want to leave!

The design of your guestroom should begin with beautiful bedding. The bed will be the focal point of the room, and as such, it should have a real “wow factor”. You also want bedding that feels luxurious for your guests to sleep in. Since your guest bed isn’t used on an everyday basis, you can splurge on luxury bedding knowing it will last a long time.

Accessories in your guestroom might include a chic, modern alarm clock. You can offer to help them set it if they are going to be using it. Since you don’t want your guests stumbling around in the kitchen in the middle of the night, place a water pitcher (with a lid) on a tray with a couple of glasses, and some food for a midnight snack. You can go simple and elegant with a silver tray, or go modern with a tray with funky patterns.

Have those skin care, perfume and make-up samples sitting in your closet? Place them on the dresser in your guest room! Your guests will truly feel like they are at a resort when provided with samples of luxury products. You should also buy some hangers to leave in your guestroom closet. Since your guests will only need a few, you can buy one pack of really nice hangers.

Having a really impressive guest room will not only make your guests feel comfortable, it will also make them truly feel like they are on a vacation. You might even find yourself wanting to spend a few nights in your guest room for a change of scenery or even for a “Staycation”!
