According to Ash

Welcome to our newest Design 101 Feature!

Every day our Merchandising Maven, Ashlee-Ann Johnson, makes 100's of design decisions. And every week she puts tons of new pieces out in our two enormous showrooms. As with all designers, she makes a lot of choices by instinct, but we thought it would be fun to deconstruct her thought process and share her ideas with you.

So here's the first instalment in which we discover the solid design principles behind this intuitive grouping.

#1 She liked the range of different heights to give depth and interest.

#2 She loved the way all the colours warmed up the space.

#3 She wanted to show how cool modern and organic work together.

We just love the mix of shiny gold and rough rustic. What part do you love?
