Bringing Stampede Style to Our Showroom

July 16, 2023

As The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth comes to a close, we’d like to take a moment to admire our Stampede-inspired vignettes created by our talented designers.

Our designers created displays for a living and dining room at the front of our store that featured a combination of rustic-styled pieces, western-inspired décor, and masculine materials while keeping it modern and stylish. Drawing inspiration from both the mountains and rural Alberta to create a rustic appearance while still aligning with Calgary’s modern design flare.

Living Room

Using a cow-hide rug, our 5th Avenue table collection which has a glamorous bone in-lay design, the Soju sofa in a driftwood leather colour, and the Mandel occasional chair, our designer Galit wanted to show how masculine items can be styled effortlessly. The Soju sofa has a unique and simplistic frame that can be used in a variety of ways; however, Galit says “the Soju sofa has a bold look and I think it looks good when styled a little more masculine.” Paired with the Mandel chair in a light fabric it helps soften the room and the wood arms match the bold appearance of the sofa. Adding the 5th Avenue coffee table “elevates the look and there’s more connectivity between the items.”

When styling the living room display, the Rorschach occasion chair in saddle leather, a concrete side table, and some table lamps were added to complement the pieces chosen by Galit. The room focuses on warm leather colours with light accent pieces to bring the warmth and coziness that you feel in country homes.

Dining Room

Revolve’s visual merchandiser, Ashlee-Ann, created a dining vignette with the help of interior designer, Larissa, to showcase one of our most beloved dining tables - the Burton. Our floor model table features decorative bolts and distressing on the wood top for an industrial appearance. “The addition of the Faraday dining chairs complements the table so well because of the leatherette seat and the wood legs,” says Ashlee-Ann. The Illusion sideboard was used to add a bit of visual interest to the display as its geometric wood pattern makes it stand out. The faux fur rug accent is used to add beauty to the room while also contrasting some of the rustic décor.

“When styling and accessorizing both vignettes, we found that we had so many cool accessories that can work with the Stampede theme,” said Larissa. Stampede fashion and culture in Calgary is a mixture of so many things - old and new, tradition and present, glamour and modesty. The bull skull wall décor contrasts the softness of the macramé hanging, and the leather contrasts the soft fabric which brings a balance to both displays.

We had fun pulling together these unique displays and showcasing our furniture differently.
