Cool, Unique & Sleek Furniture Ideas For 2019

December 11, 2018

With 2019 right around the corner, we wanted to offer you some insiders insight on what will be cool, unique and sleek for the New Year.

The New Year is the perfect time to reboot your style and we want to offer you some advice on what will be in and what will be out in 2019. Be sure to check out our new 2019 pieces on our website: www.revolvefurnishings.com or come into one of our furniture stores in Calgary.

In:

  1. Geometric Patterns

You choose the shape, put it in a pattern and it will be trendy this year. We love geometric design because of its versatility. Check out some of our geometric options by searching geometric in the search bar on our website.

  1. Antique Pieces

Something old and something new or maybe something new with that old/ antique feel. At Revolve we have countless “antique” pieces that will build character into your home design. Antique and vintage pieces should speak uniquely to you and your design preferences. We like to say that there is a vintage piece out there for everyone.

  1. Multifunctional Furnishing

This isn’t your moms old hide-a-bed; furniture design has been evolved and engineered to be incredibly stylish, multifunctional and comfortable, and 2019 will have an extended line up of multifunctional pieces for flexible comfort within your home.

  1. Metal Accents

We love metal and always have, and luckily it seems to be getting trendier with each new year. Opt for those metal pieces that are a little out of the ordinary, like a coffee table lined with a metal accent or dining room chair with metal notes. Look for sleek, chic and comfortable when picking out your metal accents.

Bonus: metal doesn’t just mean silver, look for: chrome, copper, bronze, gold, rose gold, titanium, platinum and various other different metal accents

  1. White

Clean, crisp and sleek. White will still be heavily trending in 2019 BUT the new addition to the timeless option is bold coloured accents in jewel tones. What do you think?

  1. Rounded Furniture

The chic, straight, edgy modern look is taking a bit of a turn introducing more rounded furniture into the trends for 2019; rounded modern furniture is beautiful, practical, stylish and flexible and will add dynamics to the chic straight lines trending right now

  1. Concrete

It's relatively inexpensive, lasts a lifetime, easy to maintain and chic as can be. Check out our over 50 concrete furniture options, they’re going fast!

  1. Natural Materials

Natural and organic materials do not tend to lose their value over time and tend to move forward with ever-changing trends. Wood, stone, metal and glass are always excellent choices for furniture and design accessories in your home.

Out:

  1. Edison Light Bulbs & Fixtures

They were all the trend for a while but angular and artisanal lighting are quickly replacing the Edison Light rage.

  1. Mason Jar Décor

It's rustic and recycled but unfortunately, it's going out of style; we are going back to using them for jams.
