February Showroom Feature

February 10, 2023

Our Interior Designer, Galit Abosh, designed a feature display of a “glamorous navy, pink, and gold living room” to showcase our Absinthe seating collection in our showroom.

Galit styled our sleek Absinthe sofa in navy velvet with the low back, blush velvet Reese side chair, complemented by the pink and soft grey artwork on the wall above. The Reese side chair features delicate gold legs, so Galit brought in gold accents with the console table, side table, and accessories, bringing cohesion to the room.

This collection is one of our best sellers, and for good reason. It has elegant tufting that suits modern living spaces and offers style and sophistication while prioritizing comfort. Galit says that pink and navy are one of her favorite color combinations as “rich navy mixes beautifully with pale and plush pinks and light grey accents to create a charming home interior.”

Galit envisioned a pairing of navy blue with blush tones to define the elegance of the Absinthe sofa. Navy velvet is a luxurious material and styled with pink and gold accents, it helps create a soft appearance. “This dusty pink adds a sense of femininity without being ‘girly’, it is styled here as a modern, mature color.” The dramatic nature of a royal tone like navy is softened by the neutral grey wall and the romantic pink shades to make the room more approachable while still being fashionable.

The Absinthe ottoman is used as a coffee table with a décor tray and accent throw that help add layers and interest. Adding layers with different colors, textures, and materials like the faux sheepskin rug on a velvet piece offer a tactile experience that heightens the glamour of the room. Layering is an excellent way to help bring levels of interest to your space when you have many of the same materials used throughout.

The Absinthe collection features a sectional, sofa, armchair, and ottoman, which gives various configuration options to suit your space. The clean lines and lack of loose cushions not only give it a modern look but also keep it tidy.

Keeping in mind the style and color trends of 2023, jewel and mauvy tones are remaining prominent choices for furnishings and décor this year. Try out our Absinthe collection and Reese chair in our furniture store showroom, located at 7070 11 Street SE in Deerfoot Meadows, and see all our in-stock and custom options.
